WELCOME TO MY MUSIC BLOG

My All-Time Top 300 is a survey of songs that have some historical importance or anecdotal significance, whether it be a first of some kind, a novelty hit of some magnitude, or a trend setting song by a group or artist. Some were chosen for its story value and status as a hit song determined by various authentic sources. All chart information used in the All-Time Top 300 is from Billboard, unless otherwise noted. It is a musical journey covering various musical genres from classical and Big Bands to rock, pop, folk and blues. I started it on February 17, 2007 on my show, the Artists and Music of the 20th Century at CFRC 101.9 FM, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The entire list of songs with a special note, including record number and label, will be added each week.

Coming up on Saturday, May 26 will be the Heartbeats' "Thousand Miles Away" from 1956 and the 1961 hit (and answer song), "Daddy's Home" by Shep and the Limelites.
